Lambretta started in Milan in 1947 as a factory making cheap, practical transport for post-war Italy. Ferdinando Innocenti's scooters became something else entirely: a canvas for a generation that wanted to look good and stand out. By the time Swinging London was in full swing, the Lambretta was as much a fashion statement as a way to get around.
The Mod movement claimed it as their own, and that connection never really faded. Paul Weller rode one. James Dean wore the attitude. Through the late 70s revival and every subculture shift since, the brand has stayed relevant by being specific: Italian engineering, British cool, and a script logo that still turns heads.
Lambretta Clothing carries that same thinking into the wardrobe. The polo shirts are the obvious starting point — twin-tipped, tightly made, and built for the kind of man who has never stopped caring about what he wears. The Harrington jackets pick up where the original riders left off: clean lines, easy fit, practical enough for real weather. The check shirts and T-shirts round out a collection that works as separates or together.
None of it is nostalgic for its own sake. The cuts are modern, the sizing is generous, and the pieces wear in rather than out. If you grew up with the brand, you'll recognise what you're buying. If you're coming to it fresh, you're picking up something with more history behind it than most labels can claim.
